Community Guidelines

OneAtATime is built on the idea that meaningful connections happen when people slow down and pay attention. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe, respectful, and genuine. Every member is expected to follow these rules. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent removal from the platform.

Be Authentic

OneAtATime is a space for real people looking for real connections.

• Use your real identity. Your name, age, photos, and bio should accurately represent who you are. Do not impersonate another person or create fake profiles.
• Use recent photos of yourself. All photos must clearly show you. No stock photos, celebrity images, heavily filtered or AI-generated images, or photos of other people without you in them.
• One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts. If your account is suspended, do not create a new one to circumvent the suspension.

Be Respectful

Treat every person on OneAtATime the way you'd want to be treated.

• No harassment. Do not send threatening, abusive, or repeatedly unwanted messages. If someone isn't interested, respect that.
• No hate speech. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin is strictly prohibited.
• No bullying or shaming. Do not mock, belittle, or humiliate other users for any reason, including their appearance, interests, or lifestyle.
• Respect boundaries. If your match asks you to stop a conversation topic or behavior, stop. Consent matters in every interaction.

Keep It Safe

Your safety and the safety of our community is our priority.

• No threats or violence. Any content that threatens, promotes, or glorifies violence against any person or group is prohibited.
• No sexual content. Do not share sexually explicit photos, videos, or messages. This includes nudity, sexual acts, and sexually suggestive content in profile photos or messages.
• No minors. OneAtATime is strictly for adults 18 and older. Do not share images of minors in any context.
• No illegal activity. Do not use OneAtATime to engage in, promote, or facilitate any illegal activity, including drug sales, trafficking, or fraud.
• Meet safely. When you decide to meet someone in person, choose a public place, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts. We encourage video calls before meeting in person.

No Spam or Scams

OneAtATime is not a platform for commercial activity.

• No advertising or solicitation. Do not use your profile or messages to promote products, services, businesses, social media accounts, or websites.
• No scams. Do not request money, gifts, or financial information from other users. Do not attempt to lure users to external websites or apps for fraudulent purposes.
• No bots or automation. Only real humans may use OneAtATime. Automated tools, scripts, and bots are prohibited.

Respect the Platform

OneAtATime's one-at-a-time model is intentional. Work with it, not against it.

• Engage genuinely. Use the Reveal system to thoughtfully learn about someone before matching. Don't rush through profiles or spam the Match button.
• Communicate honestly. If you're no longer interested in your match, use the Pass option. Ghosting isn't against the rules, but being upfront is kinder.
• Report problems. If someone makes you uncomfortable, violates these guidelines, or behaves suspiciously, use the in-app Report feature. Your reports help us keep the community safe.

Content Standards

The following content is prohibited anywhere on OneAtATime — profiles, photos, bios, prompts, and messages:

• Nudity or sexually explicit material
• Graphic violence or gore
• Hate symbols, slurs, or supremacist content
• Self-harm or suicide promotion
• Personal information of others (doxxing)
• Copyrighted material you don't own
• Spam, chain messages, or repetitive content

Enforcement

We review reports and proactively monitor for violations. When we identify a breach of these guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions:

• Warning: A notice that your content or behavior violates our guidelines
• Content removal: Removal of specific photos, bio text, or messages
• Temporary suspension: Restricted access to the Service for a period of time
• Permanent ban: Permanent removal from OneAtATime with no option to create a new account

Severe violations (threats, sexual content involving minors, illegal activity) will result in immediate permanent bans and may be reported to law enforcement.

Reporting

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it using the three-dot menu in any chat conversation or on a user's profile. You can select "Report" and provide details. All reports are reviewed by our team and treated confidentially. You will not be penalized for making a good-faith report.
